This solution offers a nearly plug-and-play implementation and fits into small to mid-sized companies and budgets. “Go!” is developed using PRO-IV, a client-server development environment, which is a very fast development environment and scalable deployment. User interface is very rigid and restricted by server. It lacks flexible, open and extensible interface. |
| Before using OpenLayer from PROplus Systems, we were expecting huge development and deployment costs to provide an open, web browser based user interface to our application. We always had requests from our users to be able to remotely access the application as well as personalization and utilization of various mash ups available in the market place. As OpenLayer did not require any change in the application code or upgrade any of the underlying technologies, our risk of deploying “Go!” on the web is eliminated to ZERO. |
By using OpenLayer as our front-end, we were “magically” able to transform our typical PRO-IV application to a web application. |
 OpenLayer provides the missing component of our otherwise proven and robust application. Our application now looks and feels like a standard web application. The possibilities of application enhancements are endless. It feels like we have found the missing piece of our application jigsaw puzzle.
